Kenya: Mission & Objective
Kenya, located in East Africa, is known for its rich cultural diversity and breathtaking landscapes. Despite its progress in economic and social development, Kenya faces significant spiritual and societal challenges, including persecution of Christians in certain regions and growing pressure from extremist groups.
CIC Mission Inc is partnering with local Kenyans to provide medical support in some of the most economic repressed areas of the country while partnering with church planters to spread the eternal life giving message of Jesus Christ.
Understanding Kenya: A Land of Challenges and Opportunity
Kenya is predominantly Christian, but certain regions, particularly in the northeast and coastal areas, are predominantly Muslim, and believers often face opposition in these areas. The country’s spiritual landscape offers both opportunities for outreach and challenges in discipleship and leadership development.
- Northern and coastal regions experience growing influence from extremist groups, leading to increased persecution of Christians.
- Urbanization has created opportunities for relational evangelism in cities, but rural areas remain underserved.
- Many churches lack access to sound theological training and discipleship materials, leading to gaps in leadership development.
- Youth represent a large demographic, offering a strategic focus for mentorship and discipleship initiatives.
How You Can Pray
Pray for boldness and wisdom for believers in regions where Christians face opposition and persecution.
Pray for unity among Kenyan Christians, that they may work together to bring the gospel to unreached regions.
Lift up the youth of Kenya, that they would be drawn to Christ and equipped to lead future generations in faith.
Needs and Opportunities
Kenya’s spiritual needs present opportunities to strengthen the church and expand its mission. By addressing these needs strategically, the Kenyan church can thrive and be a light in the region.
